Paint Pot Jottings. No 2
A BIG February hello from The Paint Pot.
I hope you are all well and keeping on keeping on....
Life goes on, despite lockdown and 'Scottish' type weather in abundance.
The water table is high and my wellies haven't seen as many outings since this time last year!
Never the optimist I have trained myself to look at my half empty cup while standing on my head, it seems to work.
I have spent months during lockdown working on a website and my social media accounts, which would have taken the average ten year old about a day (with breaks) to complete. Still a work in progress I would love to have your feedback.
With this, my second artist/designers 'Jottings' I hope to INSPIRE, fire up CREATIVITY and ultimately help those who are not comfortable with design, colour and making home furnishing choices start to enjoy the process.
We have a limited number of our teal velvet chairs at the sale price of £390, available until the end of February with free delivery. That's £50 OFF the regular selling price plus a further saving of £35 on delivery!
Perfect for a pop of colour in a neutral room, a bedroom or if you have space in a gloomy hallway. Click below to view it on our website and to reserve yours.

If you would like to up-cycle your own furniture then read on for our 6 step guide on how to get the most out of your project. I am on hand for advice every step of the way and can deliver paint to you.
Step 1. Clean the piece thoroughly and give it a gentle sand.
Step 2. Mask of any areas that you do not want painted and to give a clear edge around for example glass or mirror.
Step 3. Start painting, it helps to add a little water to the first coat of paint whether it is mineral or chalk paint
Step 4. Paint a few stars while you are waiting for the paint to dry.
Step 5. Choose handle/knob alternatives
Step 6. Finely sand and wipe between each coat of paint to get smoother finish, then apply 1 to 2 coats of wax and polish to a lovely soft sheen.

Here's what others say
"I'd had an old, but solid dresser that had been gifted to me by a friend who no longer had room for it. I was loathed to get rid of it as it is was so nicely built but it just didn't 'fit in' with the rest of the room. Moira sanded and lovingly repainted the entire thing and lined the back with an amazing vintage wallpaper"
"Not only did I save hundreds of pounds, I now have something unique that gets compliments from everyone that has seen it"
